Alicia Pont

Alicia Pont is a highly respected social worker, counsellor, and practice development specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the human services sector. Her career spans housing and homelessness, child and family services, trauma recovery, domestic and family violence, mental health, and workforce development.

Alicia is widely recognised for her expertise in practice leadership, trauma-informed care, reflective supervision, and workforce capability building. She works extensively with organisations, leadership teams, and frontline practitioners to strengthen service quality, ethical decision-making, and sustainable workforce wellbeing in complex service environments.

Through her consultancy and practice development work, Alicia facilitates training, supervision, organisational practice reviews, and leadership development initiatives across government and non-government sectors. She has led the design of multiple practice frameworks, supervision models, and workforce development initiatives, particularly within the Specialist Homelessness Services sector.

Alicia is also a strong advocate for recognising and valuing the role of lived experience intertwined with developed expertise within the human services sector. Her commitment to this work is deeply personal, shaped by her own early life experiences of adversity and periods of family disadvantage where her family accessed the very services she now admires and works alongside within her community. Alicia is known for her engaging and thoughtful facilitation style, Alicia brings a systems-informed, strengths-based, and reflective approach to her work, supporting practitioners and organisations to navigate complexity while strengthening practice cultures that enable both workers and the people they support to thrive.
