Katie is a Queensland based Lived and Living Experience (LLE) leader, statewide coordinator of the Queensland Lived Experience Workforce Network cross sector, IMPACT Network and Homelessness Queensland LLE Sector Liaison. Katie has worked in frontline and leadership roles across alcohol and other drugs, suicide prevention, mental health, and housing and homelessness, grounded in the everyday work of walking alongside humans. She holds a Bachelor of Human Services and a Graduate Certificate in Policy and Governance. She draws just as strongly, often more strongly, on LLE Expertise, her own and that of the people and communities she works alongside.

Her passion is intersectionality in its original meaning: a way of seeing how overlapping systems create compounded harm. She also holds the more contemporary use: building practical connections across sectors so people are not forced to navigate silos alone.

Katie is a Director on the board of Domestic and Family Violence organisation Amity Place, and has contributed to projects with over 25 peak bodies and organisations. She is a strong advocate for LLE voice, harm reduction, and person led models that prioritise autonomy, dignity, and choice. She convenes cross sector spaces that support reflective practice, workforce integrity, and real world intersectionality, translating community wisdom into usable tools, training, and change agendas. Her work is anchored in shared decision making that is resourced, accountable, and led by LLE Expertise.
