Rowena is a Housing Support Coordinator with Churches of Christ, bringing over a decade of experience across the mental health, housing, and community sectors. She coordinates the Housing Support Team, delivering holistic support across the Immediate Housing Response (IHR) program in Brisbane, the CAP crisis accommodation programs, and tenancy sustainment services for the wider portfolio of Churches of Christ properties. All allocation decisions are guided by the Human Rights Framework, ensuring dignity, fairness, and transparency for every individual seeking safe and secure housing.
Rowena’s qualifications include a degree in Business Management, Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders, DBT facilitation training, and accreditation as a SMART Recovery facilitator. These skills enable her to work effectively with individuals experiencing complex mental health and AOD concerns through a trauma-informed, person-centred, and recovery-focused approach.
With a strong passion for mental health and wellbeing, Rowena is committed to empowering people to stabilise their tenancies, regain independence, and reconnect with their community supporting sustainable housing outcomes and long-term recovery.
